Todays Animalistic is Turtle Protection.

Right now, I want you to Clear your mind. Now picture an Egg. Just a Singe Egg. A round white Golf Ball sized Egg on a beach right across from you. Now picture little cracks starting to form along the egg.

Next, Imagine that eggs crack slowly spreading until it comes all the way open and a small rock falls out, no not a rock. A Shell. Watch as a Head peeks out from the Shell then watch as flippers untuck from the shell, until you see a little baby turtle right across from you. Around the size of your palm. Isn't it adorable? Don't you just want to protect that turtle—your turtle—from harm? To make sure nothing bad ever happens to it?

Now imagine that turtle slowly waddling towards the ocean, and as it waddles towards the current watch it grow bigger. Slowly growing older. Next, watch as it enters the water, swimming far out and under the ocean until its gliding along with the current. It looks so peaceful, doesn't it?

Now imagine this turtle with a stomach full of baby turtles, going back to the beach it was born in to lay these eggs

Suddenly you notice something, a piece of plastic. The piece of plastic flows in a current along side the turtle. Then... The two currents merge. The Turtle notices the Piece of Plastic. And so the chase begins. The plastic dances along the current with the turtle after it, the turtle catches it and swallows it whole. After all, The Turtle thought it was a jellyfish. And surely a pregnant turtle is hungry during it's long journey.

Then, the turtle stops, its throat start bobbing as it struggles. It climbs it's way to the surface, desperate for air, but alas, the plastic has lodged itself in the Turtles throat. The Turtle stills. Your Turtle Stills. The turtle slowly sinks towards the bottom of the ocean, lifeless and those little baby's it carries. Dead. Every last one of them.

Now think back to when you eat. A sandwich from a zip lock bag? A Plastic Bag from the Local Store? A Muesli Bar Wrapper? An Empty Packet of Chips? Think to yourself, have you ever thrown one of those on the ground? What if that litter, you threw on the ground was the same piece of plastic the Turtle Swallowed?

Tell me, do you think that if you stop littering, it won't change anything? After all, you're only one person, right? Wrong. You may only be one person, but when you grow old and have kids, they'll follow your example. If you raise them not to litter, they won't. And how many different people have read this post? If every person that read this post stops littering that could be hundreds or maybe even thousands of people no longer littering.

That makes a difference. So, stop littering, not just to protect your turtle but to protect hundreds of other animals and plants that litter could effect.
